A Group of IPB Students Won the 1st Winner for Business Plan Competition Week on Entrepreneurship
Three students of the Department of Agribusiness of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Bogor Agricultural University (FEM IPB) successfully won 1st winner of the Competition of Business Plan of Pekan Kewirausahaan Dewan Pengurus Wilayah (DPW Entrepreneurship Week of Regional Boards) 2 of the Association of Student Organizations of Socio-Economic Societies of Agriculture (POPMASEPI) at Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati, Cirebon, on 29 September 2017. They said students were Maulida Aulia Rezki, Afif Bahruddin, and Bintang Narotama.
In the competition was on " Meningkatkan Potensi Usaha dan Inovasi Pengolahan Pangan Lokal (Improving Business Potential and Innovation of Local Food Processing)", they took brownie products made of sweet potato as local food processing innovations produced by Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) around the campus, Cikarawang Village.
Maulida stated the election of this brownie products in addition to join the competition, as well as to increase the income of villagers who are sweet potato farmers at the same time also to establish the social preneur in the future.
"The tips we have implemented were building relationships with villagers, especially ladies of KWT. In addition we have also provided information related to product branding as the element for the competition. We also provided information on how to respond consumer’ inputs to improve the product quality, "she said.
The contestants were a combination of Agribusiness Department of all universities, both private and state universities in Indonesia. "In this competition, we are supported by the Department of Agribusiness, in preparing the business plans and inputs from supervisors," she added. (Wied)
