Surprise for the Rector of IPB in the Closing Ceremony of MPKMB

Introduction of New Student Campus (MPKMB) of 54th Batch of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) was the last MPKMB followed by the Rector of IPB, Prof.Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto. Yes, this year was the last year of the leadership of Prof. Herry after performing the post for two periods. 

While giving a speech in the closing ceremony of MPKMB (17/8) in Grha Widya Wisuda (GWW), Campus of IPB Dramaga, Bogor, Prof. Herry got a surprise from the students. These students featured the videos of Prof. Herry’s activities during his tenure and recited the poem for him. 

Then accompanied by the entry of ten people of the Presidents of Student Executive Board of Student Family (BEM of KM) who were elected during Prof. Herry served as the Rector. The Presidents of BEM of KM of IPB expressed their gratitudes for the support of Prof. Herry during their tenure as the student presidents of IPB. "We apologize if during our tenure we are troubling you. We do it for the good of IPB,” said the representative of the Presidents of BEM of KM of IPB.

Not only the students who gave the surprise, the wife of Prof. Herry, Hj. Enny Suhardiyanto, also gave a surpise to her husband. When Prof. Herry sang the song 'Baik-baik Sayang' belonging to Wali Band, Hj. Enny suddenly climbed onto the stage and gave flowers and pete to Prof. Herry.

When asked about the pete brought, Hj. Enny said that the pete was the favourite food of Prof. Herry. "I do not like the pete, but I always serve the pete for him,” she said.

On this occasion, the Rector handed 12 smartphone phones to the winning students of the competition of Apresiasi Anugerah Widyapadhi.  There were four categories in this competition, namely the best, the funniest, the most creative, and the most favourite.(KMU/IRA/NM)
