After the 72nd RI Independence Day celebration in the field of Research Center of Science and Technology (Puspiptek) Serpong, Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (Menristekdikti) of RI, Mohamad Nasir, announced the clustering and the ranking of the universities (PT) in 2017 of the non polytechnic and polytechnic groups.
Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) in the clustering announcement was ranked the third after Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). "Alhamdulillah, IPB received the third rank award from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. Rise compared to last year. Last year it ranked fourth, now it is back to rank three. Because previously it also ever rank three," said Rector of IPB, Prof.Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto.
The announcement of PT ranking which had been done by Kemenristekdikti since 2015 aimed to build the foundation of the classification and the ranking of PT for the continuous improvement of PT and to assess the health level of the organization of PT in Indonesia. The result of this PT ranking was also the basis for the formation of the quality improvement policies and / or for the benefit of the coaching of PT.
"This is a form of the contribution of IPB, all IPB residents are to implement Tridharma University seen from the comprehensive assessment by Kemenristekdikti through Tridharma University, namely the research, the education, and the community service," added Prof. Herry.
Director General of Institutional of Science and Technology and Higher Education, Kemenristekdikti of RI, explained the aspects, the indicators, and the data used in the Clustering of PT seen from the aspects of the human resources, the institutional, the student affairs, the research, and the publication.
Prof. Herry explained that on top of it all were not the matter of ranking that became everything of the target of IPB. For him, the roles of IPB for the nation and the mankind were much more important. "Insya Allah with hard work and high dedication from all family of IPB, despite many limitations, we must continue to move towards a better future," he concluded.(SM/NM)
