A Total of 4,582 Candidates Applied for the Posts as Village Assistants and Joined the Selection Process at IPB
Faculty of Economics and Management of Bogor Agricultural University (FEM IPB) in cooperation with the Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration Ministry of the Republic of Indonesia through Directorate General of Development and Empowerment of Village Communities (DG PPMD) had carried out recruitment Tenaga Pendamping Profesional (TPP Professional Personnel for Coaching), on 10 September 2017. The Recruitment of TPP includes Tenaga Ahli Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (TAPM Community Empowerment Experts) for District / City, Pendamping Desa (PD Village Assistant) and dan Pendamping Desa Teknik Infrastruktur (PDTI Assistant Infrastructure Engineering of Village) and Pendamping Lokal Desa (PLD Local Village Assistant).
The recruiting program took place in the Common Class Room Building (CCR) of IPB, Teaching Laboratories Building Building of IPB, Grha Widya Wisuda of IPB, the Auditorium of FPIK IPB, the Auditorium of Faculty of Animal Sciences of IPB, the Auditorium of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA IPB), SMAN 1, Dramaga, SMPN 2 Dramaga, and SMA Kornita.
Chairman of the Faculty of Economics Sharia of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Bogor Agricultural University (FEM IPB) Dr. Jaenal Effendi, said that FEM IPB was chosen because so far the contribution of thought and development strategy proposed by FEM in particular and IPB have been plenty, especially to the empowerment of rural community and capacity building at the Ministry of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Area and Transmigration of RI or related ministry. "Specifically, facilities owned by IPB in the selection of professional assistants are considered appropriate," he said.
Not only that, he added, the readiness of FEM IPB in the follow-up plan for facilitation of empowerment capacity – capacity building forthe professional village staff.
He explained that the process of recruitment of village facilitators has arrived at the selection stage of written test carried out by the appointed State Universities in each province. Total number of applicants for the recruitment of professional assistants in the village of 2017 is 4,582. "This selection process is guaranteed to be transparent and accountable because it has involved universities that have been recognized for their credibility in carrying out the selection process," he said.
The results of the written test will be announced no later than 2 (two) days after the execution of written test. Furthermore, the interview test will be carried out on 12-17 September 2017.
On this occasion Dr. Jaenal stated that the jobs of the Village Assistant is to guard the implementation of Law no. 6 Year 2014 on Village (Village Law) by strengthening the process of implementation of village community empowerment.
He expected that Village Assistant will be able to carry out social transformation by fundamentally changing the approach of control and mobilization of the government to the village into an empowerment approach for rural communities. Villagers and village government as a whole are empowered to be able to present themselves as an independent community.
Thus, villagers are encouraged to be the subject of development of Indonesia from the periphery, so as to be able to promote economic independence by developing domestic strategic sectors.
