The Launching of Mushola of PPKU IPB

Education Program for General Competency (PPKU) of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) held the inaugural launch of Mushola Ulul Albab, which is located just behind the Common Class Room (CCR), Campus IPB, Dramaga, Bogor, on 21 July 2017. Director of PPKU IPB, Dr. Bonny PW Soekarno, said that the aims of launching this building is to show the appreciation to all parties, especially the class of 53 students who have raised rupiah for rupiah. Dr. Bonny also expressed his gratitude to all IPB academic community for their morale and material support for the construction of the building. "Today the mosque has been completed and is suitable for worship activities. Only the installation of doors and windows will be done later, "he said.

In addition Dr. Bonny reported that donated funds from various donators  to build the Mosque total amounted to Rp 1.1 billion. It was planned, that in the near future, asset of this mosque will be transferred  to IPB in the anniversary of IPB.

Dr. Bonny added, that the mosque was designed and constructed for long-term utilization, so it is the strong and solid building. In terms of size, the previously planned mushola building, was changed into a mosque. Mosque to pray fardhu five time a day. But not for Friday prayers, as for bigger worshipers they can be accommodated in a larger mosque, the Al-Hurriyyah Mosque.

Deputy Director of PPKU of IPB, Dr. Eko Sri Wiyono, stated that after the handed over of the mushola assets, the maintenance responsibility of the Mosque IPB will be managed by IPB. (Wied)
