Halal Bil Halal of Campus Community of IPB
In the third day after resuming their Idul Fitri 1438 H holidays, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) held the Halal bil Halal (HBH). The event was implemented in Grha Widya Wisuda (GWW), IPB Campus, Dramaga, Bogor, on Wednesday, 5 July 2017.
Rector of IPB, Prof. Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto welcomes locals wishing to convey Idul Fitri greetings to all the Muslim community of IPB. By saying traditional Arabic (Muslim) greeting for the Eid celebrations commonly used in Indonesia "Taqobbalallaahu minnaa wa minkum, shiyaamanaa wa shiyaamakum. Wa ja'alanallahu minal 'aaidin wal faaidzin. We apologize our family and friends for any wrongs they have committed in the previous year. IPB Rector in his speech said, "Happy Eid of 1438 H and congratulation on the success of Spiritual Ascent during the month of Ramadan when the religious activities ranging from fasting, charity, donation, sodaqoh to taraweeh are intensely performed, "said Rector.
He said, Eid Fitri has the meaning of returning to chastity, the victory of the Muslims during the month of Ramadan, because they managed to control negative passions and become God-fearing. Let's build a spirit of togetherness and harmony among us as social capital, by increase our Zakat (the obligatory poor tax that is paid by Muslims during the Lebaran) Syawal month. We must continue the spirit of worship that has flourished and strengthened during the month of Ramadan to become the main energy in performing the worship in the following months. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that we fulfill our promises for fulfilling the divine mandate of institution, society, nation, and country. Let's get rid of unwanted anger and hatred, jealousy, envy, revenge, arrogance, humiliation and other disappointed and annoyed, replace them with compassion, mutual respect, mutual help, mutual advancement, mutual promotion, and mutual strengthening of brotherhood among us.
At the present Halal Bil Halal of IPB invited Ustadz (Islamic preacher) H. Yusuf Mansur. In his tausiyah (advice) Ustadz Yusuf Mansur reminded us that it us as human who contaminate our, whenever you do good or avoid evil for fear of God, in whatever sphere of life and field of activity, you are discharging your Islamic obligations. So we must constantly seek to improve ourselves and become better. "They are people who have loved one another by reason of Allah's spirit, and were giving gifts to one another without being related or having (common) property. I swear by Allah that their faces will be light and that they will be placed upon light, neither fearing when men fear nor grieving when men grieve. When I make him My beloved, I become his ears to hear, and his eyes to see and his hands to grasp, and his feet to walk. When he asks Me, I grant him and when he seeks My protection I protect him," he said. In 2001-2002 Ustad Yusuf Mansur experienced this self-purification process, which then he took da'wah for his life.
Present on this occasion all the campus communities of IPB. In addition, The event was enlivened by the performance of IPB Women’ Agrianita, Agria Melodia IPB Choir, and the presence of Ustad Deri Sulaiman who had invited the audience to sing together in a religious songs. (Wied)
