The Visit of the Assessor Team of AUN-QA to the Department of Management of FEM IPB
The Department of Management of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Bogor Agricultural University (FEM IPB), was visited by the ASEAN Network University-Quality Assessment (AUN-QA) assessor team, on 30 May -1 June 2017. They were Prof. Dr. Yahaya Md. Sam – Professor of Department of Control and Mechatronic Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, and Dr. Ir. Dawisa Sritanyarat from Graduate School of Human Resources Management, National Institute of Administration of Thailand.
Historically, AUN-QA was established in 1998 as a network of ASEAN Quality Assurance in higher education with the task of promoting Quality Assurance in higher education institutions, improving the quality of higher education, and collaborating with regional and international bodies for the benefit of the ASEAN community. Since its first assessment process carried out by the AUN-QA for the program level since 2007, more than 160 courses have been assessed by AUN-QA. Both AUN-QA members and partner members have also benefited from this assessment program.
To improve the quality of higher education, he Department of Management of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Bogor Agricultural University (FEM IPB) invited AUN-QA to assess the Department. Since last year, the Department of Management, especially the Management Study Program – S1 (PSM) has prepared AUN-QA Self- Assessment Report based on its field evidence. The items to be assessed were ELO, Pogram Spec, Program Structure, learning approaches, student assessment, academic staff quality, Support staff, student quality, facilities and infrastructure, quality, and output. The report was submitted to the AUN-QA secretariat in Thailand through the Quality Management Office (KMM) IPB at the end of November last year.
The first two-day of AUN-QA assessor team work program were meetings with Department Management stakeholders, academic staff, support staff (tendik), students and alumni and corporate partners (employers who employed Dept Man alumni). Students (freshmen up to fourth year) of the under-graduate were enthusiastic to meet and attend the AUN-QA assessors meeting, and the alumni as well. The alumni presented in the meeting have quite diverse job backgrounds, i.e. Managers at the Nielsen, Account Executive of PT. Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa, Tbk, faculty member of the Faculty of Economics and Business of Unisba Bandung, students of Master Degree Program of the Business Management of IPB and others.
Other guests present in the event were corporate partners of The Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Management of Bogor Agricultural University (FEM IPB), namely users who attended were Mr. Rachmat Mulyana (Head of Senior High School 1 Sukabumi), Mr. Joni Afandy (General Manager of Administration Department of MSIG), Mrs. Novya Wendiati (Area Pawning Manager of Bank Syariah Mandiri, Dramaga, Bogor), Mrs. Findi Novia (National Business Development Manager of PT Paragon Technology and Innovation, Jakarta), Mrs. Dinari Nikken Sulastrie Sirin (Head of Human Resources and Administration Division of LAPAN), Mr. Resha Danang Sedayu (Oil Well Cement & Project Account Manager), Mrs. Dr. Hj. Atih Rohaeti Dariah, SE., MSi.
