Tarhib Ramadhan of IPB “With Love as Divine Grace”
Welcoming month of Ramadan 1438 H, Habib Abdurrahman Assegaf invited Muslims to cleanse their hearts because of our love for Allah SWT. The invitation was presented when he was invited as the speaker for Tarhib Ramadhan 1438 H, held by Agrianita of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), in the Auditorium Andi Hakim Nasoetion, IPB Campus, Dramaga, Bogor, 18 May 2017. The theme of tarhib Ramadhan 1438 H is "Menggapai Ridho Ilahi dengan Cinta = for Ridho Divine with Love" was attended by IPB campus communities and residents of villages around the campus.
Habib Abdurrahman said, we practice our love to Allah SWT by implemented what is done by Prophet Muhammad SAW. "Our prayers follow the practice of Prophet Muhammad. No need to ask question when we find differences. Love each other as God so love the world, as the recitation of the shah?dah is the most common statement of faith for Muslims, "he said
He tells how a person will be blessed to be a person like Rabi’ah bint Esma’il al-‘Adawiya, who was born in humble circumstances and sold into slavery as a child, later settled in Basra where she attained great fame as a saint and a preacher and was highly esteemed by many of her pious contemporaries. Thus, she devoted her life only to worship to Allah, until she was known as zuhud and experts of worship. Emphasized ascetic detachment, renunciation of the world, meditation, and love of God. Taught that people should worship God out of love, rather than the fear of hell or promise of paradise. Rabi'ah Al-Adawiyah became the originator of God's love concept or often called mahabbah. Her love that makes her more than anything else even become the slave of man and surrender before Him is not in the hope of his heaven or the fear of his hell.
Habib Abdurrahman also invites Muslims to love other people, or you shall you’re your neighbours. "It is not called belief if you have not love the neighbors. If next to us do not eat, then we as neighbors will be sinners of him. So follow what the Prophet ordered, "he added.
"With love our Prophet, Allah, hopefully Allah has decreed this month (Ramadan) the best of all months. We all get the fadillah lailatulqodar. Whom who will be happy to welcome the month of Ramadan, Allah shall make his body forbidden to Hell-Fire. We won’t be able to accept and welcome Ramadan if there is no love for the divine, "he explained.
Yet, Rector of IPB, Prof. Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto stated that Tarhib Ramadan is very important event to welcome Ramadan. "Ramadan is a glorious month, full of blessings, an opportunity to draw closer to God. In the Qur'an, the obligation of fasting is among others to be cautious. Let's be grateful, enjoy God's majesty. Today, when Muslims observe Ramadan, we echo our Prophet’s solitude, fasting by day and praying at night, yet we do not fully seclude ourselves from the secular, "said Rector.
The first item of the program was the recitation of the Qur'an by Hamzah Al-Farisi, student of the Department of Biology of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Bogor Agricultural University (FMIPA IPB); Moderator for the event was Ustad Solahuddin El-Ayubi, LC, MA, who is also a lecturer of Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) IPB. Other guests present in this special event among others were the Dean of Faculty of Agricultural Technology (FATETA) of IPB, Prof. Dr. Kudang Boro Seminar; Head of Public Bureau, Dr. Cahyono Tri Wibowo; and Chairman of Agrianita IPB, Hj. Enny H. Suhardiyanto, SE.(Wied)
