IPB Friendship Evening (MPI) Had Been Well-Implemented
Directorate of Student Affairs of Bogor Agricultural University (Dimawa IPB) in cooperation with Student Executive Board of Student Family (BEM KM) IPB held IPB Friendship Evening (MPI). Simultaneously such event was also organized as the closing ceremony of two major activities of IPB, namely Student Olympiad of IPB (OMI) and IPB Art Contest (IAC). Both events were the largest annual sports and performing arts and culture of IPB students. IPB Rector, Prof. Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, attended this MPI activity and officially closed OMI and IAC 2017, on Friday, 19 May 2017, at Grha Widya Graduation (GWW), IPB Campus, Dramaga, Bogor.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee of OMI 2017, Reza Mahlevi, expected that such annual big event would build such lasting friendship of IPB students though they had competed each other in OMI and IAC 2017. He expressed his gratitude to all parties who helped the implementation of this 2017 OMI IPB.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of IAC 2017, Kevin Aganta Rivaldy, said that the IAC had been well implemented (smoothly and hilariously) due to the hard work of IAC IPB Team 2017. It is the annual event of IPB in arts and culture for IPB students which were organized as attracted as possible in vocal competition, Art of dance, literature, painting, photography, and stand up comedy.
President of the IPB Student Executive Board of Student Family (BEM KM), Panji Laksono, stated that OMI 2017 emphasized that OMI activity is a form of unity and togetherness among IPB's students. It is also an arena or means to improve IPB students' sports achievements toward the Indonesia Student Olympiad in 2017. It emphasizes the spirit of togetherness in all areas, such as sports, arts and culture. "Increase your creativity and potentiality to produce the best. The resulted best athletes will represent IPB in the National Student Olympiad Week," he said.
Meanwhile, the rector congratulated all members of the committee for the well-implemented of OMI and IAC IPB 2017. Rector expected that OMI and IAC IPB aims to channel the interests and talents of students in sports, brotherhood and togetherness of all IPB's students through sport competition, foster the spirit of sportsmanship in individual students and teams. "All must maintain the togetherness and continue to develop the potential to continue to excel," he said.
The winners of all branches of sports competed in the 2017 OMI were announced during the MPI event. In addition, the event was also enlivened by contingents and dancing parade, as well as Indonesian dance performances presented by Student Activity Unit (UKM) IPB “Street Dance Community”. OMI and IAC IPB 2017 was concluded by the announcement for winners of OMI 2017 Overall Winners is the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA IPB), whereas for Overall Winners of IAC 2017 is the Faculty of Agricultural Technology (FATETA IPB).
