Inauguration of Wing B Building of Library of IPB

Rector of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Prof.Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, inaugurated Wing B Building of Library of IPB, Friday (21/4), in Campus of IPB Dramaga, Bogor. Head of Library of IPB, Prof.Dr. Pudji Muljono, expressed the gratitude for this inauguration.

“Hopefully with this inauguration it will soon provide the digital service as optimal as possible. Currenly, the Library Unit is very minimal in the number of the human resources (HR), i.e. only 15 people. The planning for the librarian is optimally 27 people,” said Prof. Pudji.

Responding to the wish of Prof. Pudji for the addition of HR in the library,  the Rector conveyed that it was very encouraging that the educational personnel had the spirit to develop the scientific treasure to become the librarian. He said, the library was the heart of a university. Therefore, it certainly had a strategic role.  “I am encouraging the employees to transfer jobs to the library, to prepare the young librarians who serve the stakeholders. Hopefully, we will continue to support the World Class University with the library services which are better quality,” he said.

 Also present in this inauguration, among others the Head of Public Bureau, Dr. Cahyono Tri Wibowo; the Head of Rector’s Secreariat Bureau, Dr. Yonvitner; and the senior librarian of IPB, Dr. Abdurahman Saleh.(dh)
