Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) was the first Public University (PTN) in Indonesia that seeked to protect the students by requiring them to follow the program of the National Health Insurance – Healthy Indonesian Card (JKN-KIS). This surfaced in the Card Launching of JKN-KIS for the Students of IPB, Friday (14/10) in the Auditorium of Common Class Room, Campus of IPB Darmaga Bogor.

“This means that IPB is as a pioneer of the university which helps the achievement effort of ensuring the health costs of all citizens of Indonesia as the government’s target in 2019,” said Director of Membership and Marketing, Social Security Administrator (BPJS) of Health, Andayani Budi Lestari, SE, MM, AAK.

Rector of IPB, Prof. Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, conveyed that the cooperation between IPB and BPJS of Health in the order to support Indonesia had the strong health services system and the realization of the awareness among fellows. “The main thing of course is to be the solution of the health costs that are not covered by the students, so that the students find no more difficulty to think about the costs when they are sick and more focused to use of the time for the activities that are more useful,” said the Rector.

This card could also be used by the students who were in Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) / Real Work Lecture or when returning home, because they had been entered into the scheme of the health services throughout Indonesia. The launching was marked by giving the card of JKN-KIS to the student representatives from Sabang and Papua.

This launching activity was preceded the cycling along the leadership ranks of IPB and BPJS of Health from the Rectorate Building towards CCR. Not only the moment of launching, BPJS of Health also held the Socialization and Consultation Services by opening the service desk in the area of the Student Health Week of IPB which was held in the area of CCR 10-15 October 2016.
