Community Cleaning Programme at Babakan Raya (Bara), Babakan Village, District Dramaga, Bogor

Student Activity Unit (UKM), of the Local Committee (LC) of Indonesia Green Action Forum (IGAF), of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) carried out Community Cleaning Programme to clean the environment in Babakan Raya (Bara), Babakan Village, District Dramaga, Bogor, on Saturday, 15 October 2016. 

Division Head of LC IPB Corner of IGAF, Yuliana, said the program with the theme "Bara Street in Harmony" was intended to encourage people around Bara to improve their awareness on the environment conservation, especially the management of their trashes. "The Community Cleaning Programme will create a healthy environment and hygienic snacks," she said.

The Secretary of the Association of Food Stalls of IPB Partners, Mr. Nurhadi, expressed his happiness to get the routine cleaning services by Community Cleaning Programme by IPB, such as the Directorate for Business Development of IPB and students. "The cleaning program for our environment require the social participation of communities, that include the village authorities, the communities,  merchants, and the IPB. We are optimistic that the participation of all parties to  keep our Bara environment clean, it will  create a sense of safe and comfortable feeling to stay in Bara.

The Community Cleaning Programme was carried out jointly by the Department of Business Development of IPB, Office of General Bureau, Campus Security Unit (UKK) of IPB, the Association of Food Stalls of IPB Partners, and community. (Wied)
