Rector of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Prof. Herry Suhardiyanto requested apology from all IPB communities in IPB’s Halal Bil Halal of Eid celebration in 1437 H, Wednesday (13/7). The event, held at Graha Widya Wisuda, the Graduation Building in Darmaga Campus of IPB Bogor, raised the theme "Binding Hearts towards Harmony ".
 
In his speech, Rector said, Ramadan is a month full of piety values and social values. "Thank God every Ramadan, IPB routinely gives donations to orphans in 17 villages around the campus, and to the orphans of IPB communities," he said.
 
On this occasion, Rector invites all IPB members to continue to improve the devotion to Allah SWT (the Almighty God). He says that 2016 is the year will a lot of challenges and changes. "For this reason, we request the participation and support of all parties," Rector hopes.
 
Present to give tausiyah (religious advice) in the Halal Bil Halal was KH. Hasyim, one of the scholars of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), which is also the caretaker of Pondok Pesantren (Islamic Boarding School) Al-Hikam, Malang, East Java. In his advice, he said that Halal Bil Halal is our way to celebrate Eidul Fitri. This 1944-born cleric said, Eidul Fitri is the momentum for us in respecting human rights. "God does not forgive our sins until we forgive each other," he said.
 
The event which asked two masters of ceremony (Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Dr. M Yamin and Director of the Graduate Program in Management and Business, Dr. Arif Daryanto) was attended by thousands of lecturers, educational staff, management officials of IPB, former Rectors, and IPB’s partners.
 
Halal Bil Halal was increasingly vibrant with religious songs by the villages around IPB campus, chanting of sholawat Badr (Praises to the Prophet) by Vice Deans of the IPB, as well as religious songs by IPB Choir offerings. A poem written by Vice Dean for Facilities, Cooperation and Development of FEM IPB, Prof. M Firdaus titled "Expecting Your Smile" was tenderly read by Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of FEMA IPB, Dr. Titik Sumarti. The beautiful recital of the Qur’an was also presented by the MTQ national champion, the son of the Head of Administration of IPB’s Archives Unit. (Mtd)
