Supported IPB Green Campus, BNI Contributed 100 Bicycles

Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) received a grant of 100 units of bicycles and 40 pieces of bike racks from PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) Persero Tbk, Thursday (31/3). Submission of the grant was held on the opening of the activity of BNI Fair in Graha Widya Wisuda, Campus of IPB Dramaga Bogor. In addition to the submission of bike grant, it was also done the signing of the memorandum of understanding by Rector of IPB, Prof.Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, with BNI.

 

The Rector expressed his thanks and appreciation to BNI on the grants awarded. The Rector hoped that with the additional units of these bikes, it could develop Green Campus program which had been long-planned by IPB. “Green Campus indeed has been long aspired. To be known, IPB in the world rankings occupies the number 36 as the greenest campus and the number 2 nationally. Not rank that matters, but the part of the education of green lifestyle,” explained the Rector.

 

The grant of bike was delivered directly by Vice Director of PT BNI, Suprajarto. On this occasion, Suprajarto explained that the bicycle aid was a form of support of BNI to IPB to realize the Green Campus in 2020. “The cooperation of BNI with the university this time is a reflection of the commitment of BNI for the university and its community,” he explained.

 

The event was begun with gowes / riding around the campus, then followed by the visit to the exhibition stand of BNI Fair which was held for two days (31/3-1/4). Gowes / riding was followed by Rector, Dean, Vice Dean, Director, Head of Office and Head of Bureau as well as the leaders of PT BNI and the staffs.(AS)
