As a form of support for education and the promotion of agribusiness and agriculture in Indonesia, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) in collaboration with Performax held Agrinex Expo 10 (1-3 / 4). Agrinex held since 2007 is to demonstrate and convince the public that agribusiness is an attractive investment. Agrinex of this time was officially opened by Minister for Agrarian and Spatial Planning of Republic of Indonesia, Ferry Mursyidan Baldan, Friday (1/4), at the Jakarta Convention Centre (JCC).
 
Chairman of the Committee for Agrinex Expo, Rifda Ammarina said that this activity can educate the public and increase the interest of students in agriculture. Not only that, this event also shows the food practical technologies that can enable visitors to be a farmer for the family food sufficiency.
 
Agrinex expo of this year involves around 250 booths from Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning, Ministry of Public Works, Ministry of Cooperatives and Small-Medium Businesses, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Health, Partnership Program and Community Development, SOE, and provincial departments in Indonesia.
 
On this occasion, Rifda expressed gratitude for the support of the Agrarian Minister in the Agrinex Expo. According to her, the Agrarian Ministry has an important role in preventing the conversion of agricultural land.
 
Similar view is conveyed by IPB Rector, Prof. Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, the agrarian reform is a necessary condition in agriculture. "Access to land is a key to agribusiness," he said.
 
Rector said farming must be built with an agricultural production system in a digital society that can be ensured through cooperation of various parties, including government, business, academicians and the community. (Mtd)
