The Visit of SMAN 1 Glagah, Banyuwangi, and SMA Islam Terpadu Iqra, Bengkulu, to IPB

 Students of  SMAN 1 Glagah, Banyuwangi, and SMA Islam Terpadu Iqra, Bengkulu, visited Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB – Bogor Agricultural University), on Tuesday, 1st  March 2016. Their total number were 255 (two hundred fifty five) students of SMAN 1 Glagah, Banyuwangi, and 65 (sixty five) students SMA IT Iqra, Bengkulu. Official reception for the groups took place at the Auditorium Andi Hakim Nasution, Dramaga Campus, Bogor.

 

Apriadi Haryono, M.Pd.Si, as the representative of SMA IT Iqra, Bengkulu, stated that aim of the visit was  for silaturahmi (social visit) as well as to search first hand information on the acceptance of new students. Whereas the representative of SMAN 1 Glagah, Banyuwangi, Drs. Sudiwinoto, stated that the official visit of his students was  to learn student’s life and subjects offered by IPB. 

 

Brief presentation on IPB was presented by the Head of Promotion Division, Bureau of Legal Affairs, Promotion and Public Relations IPB, Dr.drh. M. Fachrudin, for the groups. In the question and answer session, the groups seemed so enthusiastically participated and they raised some questions related to study at IPB. 

 

According to Drs. Sudiwinoto, IPB was selected for their official visit as they understand that IPB is one of the leading State Universities in Indonesia, which has produced best quality graduates. At the end, item of their visit program for them was campus tour. This time, the groups were given opportunities to see facilities available at IPB campus.  

 

"At the gate I see that IPB is really cool university, moreover the attractive explanation on IPB urge me to go to this university soon. I am interested in the Department of Landscape Architecture, as since my childhood I like drawing, "said Aldi, of SMAN 1 Glagah, Banyuwangi. (Wied)
