Eleven international students of IPB visited the Presidential Museum of the Republic of Indonesia in Bogor Palace and Bogor Botanical Gardens, on Saturday, 10 October 2015, as part of the 2015 International Student Program activities and excursions organized by the Directorate of Student Affairs. "The eleven students are from Poland, Belgium, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Pakistan, Liberia, Nigeria and Madagascar. The purpose of this program is  to strengthen friendship among students and create impressive memories for international  students of IPB, "said Deputy Director of Character Development and Mobility, Directorate of Student Affairs, Dr. Sintho Wahyuning Ardie. A total number of IPB students were selected to be their buddies (companion friends).

According to Dr. Sintho, international students who get and save impressive memories while they are studying in IPB will become the important ambassador for campaigning IPB,  when they return to their home countries. "Hopefully they will increase the total number of inbound mobility who can support IPB to be the world class university."

Johnny Allen Borlay, from Liberia and Wahed ul Hassan, from Pakistan expressed their gratitude for the hospitality they got from IPB students. "I am pleased that IPB has organized such  excursion for international students, so that I can interact with other international students in IPB," said Allen. Allen hopes that IPB will routinely plan student gathering and excursion activities for international students in the near future. (Wied)
