Seminar on the Research Results of LPPM and FEMA IPB

Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM – IPB Research and Community Empowerment Institute of Bogor Agricultural University) and the Department of Communication Science and Community Development of Faculty of Human Ecology (FEMA – IPB), organized the "Seminar on the Institutional Research", on Monday, 16 March 2015. Research on processing of land resources, forest and water resources as the basis for achieving sustainable food sovereignty, was carried out on  Dramaga Campus, Bogor.
 
Head of LPPM IPB, Dr. Prastowo, in his opening remarks stated that the results of the research agenda on "Agrarian Reform and Community Empowerment" has four categories, namely: 1. (1).  Institutional Research Programs; (2). Collaborative and Innovation Knots; (3). National Affirmation Research, and (4). Preparation for Center on Agrarian Studies. "All of those programs must be supported by collaboration on the coordinated action in IPB, which should be applicable, integrative, and multidisciplinary," he said.
 
Title of the research projects presented were as follows: (1). "Study of Agrarian Reform Policies for Strengthening Community Capacity in the Context of Poverty Alleviation and Food Independence": a case study in Sumber Sari, Loa Kulu, Kutai Kartanegara;  (2). "The Complexity in Managing the Agricultural Resources in the Thousand Islands Districts"; (3). "Strengthening Community Capacity Through Capacity Building in the Context of Regional Food and Poverty Alleviation for the Regional Development of Mamasa district of West Sulawesi"; (4). "Implementation of Agricultural Bank and Community Development to Improve Farmers’ Welfare and the Prevention of Land-Use Transfer in Cianjur".
 
The Seminar was participated by he Deputy Head of Research LPPM, Prof.Dr.Drh. Agik Suprayogi, Dr. (HC) Gunawan Wiradi, researchers and graduate students of School of the Graduate Studies of IPB. (Wied).
