P2SDM-IPB Holds Creative Economy Training for Posdaya Cadres Thursday, March 26, 2015

Human Resource Development Centre (P2SDM) of the Institute for Research and Community Service, Bogor Agricultural University (LPPM-IPB) in cooperation with the Agency for Community Empowerment and Family Planning (BPMKB) of Bogor City held a "Productive Economy Training for Posdaya (Family Empowerment Post) Cadres of Bogor 2015" on Tuesday (24/3). The event, which was officially opened by the Secretary of P2SDM, Drs. Suhaemi, MM, was held in the Experimental Field of Agronomy, Darmaga Campus of IPB Bogor.

 

Drs Suhaemi, MM said in his speech that Family Empowerment Post (Posdaya) is a forum of communication and friendship as well as a place for people who want to share knowledge and skills with others. "So with this activity it is expected that Posdaya cadres motivate other cadres and they can develop together," he said.

 

Head of Division for Institutional Strengthening and Community Participation Development (PKPPM) of BPMKB Bogor, Amik Herwidyastuti, SH, M.Si explains, "The purpose of this training is to improve the ability of Posdaya cadres in Bogor city based on their own talents ".

 

The training was attended by the representatives of 68 Posdayas in Bogor city. Training materials include fisheries, product processing, product design and packaging, and utilization of limited yard and nutritious garden. Of the 68 participants, 10 people are selected to get advanced training for five days in IPB. (Mtdl)
