UIN (State Islamic University) of Sunan Ampel, Surabaya, taking Comparative Study in IPB

UIN of Sunan Ampel Surabaya East Java took the option to conduct a comparative study at Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). The comparative study group of 11 people are from the Faculty of Science and Technology. They arrived at Dramaga campus of IPB , Wednesday (12/11), and were greeted by the Head of Legal, Promotion and Public Relations Office (KHPH) IPB, Ir Yatri Indah Kusumastuti, M.Sc., in the Rector Meeting Room, Andi Hakim Nasution Building.

Leader of the group, Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation Dr Siti Nur Asiyah said, Faculty of Science and Technology is a new faculty in UIN of Sunan Ampel Surabaya. The Departments or Study Programs available are Architecture, Marine Science, Environmental Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Biology, and Psychology. Therefore, we need to know more about these majors."

"IPB has achievements and international reputation in line with the vision of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. That’s why we are doing this comparative study, hoping to gain knowledge related to the Tri Dharma (three major tasks) of higher education from a senior university," added Dr Siti.

Head of KHPH-IPB, Ir Yatri Indah Kusumastuti, M.Sc., expresses thanks for the visit of UIN Sunan Ampel. According to her, this occasion is a means of sharing knowledge. "Hopefully, it can give some benefits," she said.

The comparative study group then visited the Department of Landscape Architecture, Department of Marine Technology, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Department of Computer Science, Department of Biology, and the Department of Mathematics. (Mtd)
