The Training Program for Senior Residents for TPB Dormitories
Directorate of Student Affairs organized the Training Program for Senior Resident (SR) of Dormitory for Level Joint Preparation (TPB), on 11 October 2014, at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry. A total of 34 participants attended the training on " Membentuk Senior Resident (SR) yang Berkarakter, Berintegritas, dan Berkapasitas Capacity and Integrity Building of Resident Senior (SR) of the Dormitory)" is.
Head of Sub Directorate of Student Welfare of the Directorate of Student Affairs, Dr. Megawati Simanjuntak said, "Senior Residents of IPB Dormitories must have a high energy to spread kindness, reliable, full of character and responsibility." Resource person for the Training Program were Ir. M. Agus Setiana, MS. (lecturer in the Department of Nutrition and Food Technology of IPB) who trained the public speaking skills of participants. Participants are invited to identify themselves with the aim to enable them to communicate according to their own characters.
Ir. Melly Latifah, MSi (lecturer Department of Family and Consumer Sciences of IPB) who was invited to be the resource person to present tips and tricks of the Senior Residents who understand the characteristics of the new students. "As the Senior Residents they must possess empathy, hard workers, patience, tolerance, and have good manners. As the senior residents they should be able to build academic and non-academic skills of their juniors (new students), "said Ir. Melly.
Another resource person was Ach. Firman Wahyudi, SE, M.Si (Presma 2009-2010) who presented on leadership and the integrity of the Senior Residents. Finally, Dr. Soni Trison, Unit Manager of TPB Boarding Houses, who presented on IPB in general and what is Senior Resident. Other interesting item of the program was talk show on " Memetik Inspirasi dari Mantan Senior Resident (What we should learn from our previous Senior Resident" featuring Asep Hambali, Firman, and Junia Faizah experiences. Those three presenters were former Senior Residents. The Training Program was getting more exciting as all the participants were invited to join the outbound on the following day. (Wied).
