Fifth Birthday, Posdaya Puspa Lestari Accepted the Visit of 70th OST

Center for Development of Human Resources (P2SDM), Institute for Research and Community Services (LPPM), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), accepted the visit from various institutions. Among these, Social Welfare Coordinator (K3S) of Padang Panjang City, West Sumatra, TP PKK Cilandak Jakarta, Lions Club Yogyakarta, Universitas Pelita Bangsa Cikarang and Universitas Trilogi Jakarta (28/10). This visit was conducted to some Posdaya assisted by IPB, one of them was Posdaya Puspa Lestari, Kelurahan Pasir Kuda. The visit activity of a number of institutions was summarized in the 70th Observation Study Tour (OST) held together with Yayasan Damandiri. This visit felt special because it was exactly on 28 October, Posdaya Puspa Lestari celebrated its fifth birthday.

 

IPB had developed almost 150 Posdaya in Bogor City, Bogor District, Cianjur and Sukabumi. In collaboration with Yayasan Damandiri, IPB also become the regional coordinator for 12 partner universities in the development of posdaya. The group visiting to Posdaya Puspa Lestari was welcomed at Early Childhood Education (PAUD) Bina Lestari with the local dance offered by the students. The group was also welcomed with two songs of offered by two students with disabilities assisted by Handicapped Social Rehabilitation Service of Community Based (PRSPCBM), Fia and Ade Suryani.

 

Moreover, the group also visited Post of Occupational Health Unit (UKK) “Puspa” by directly review of the home industry entrepreneur of  making tempeh, and  Financing Cooperative of Economy in Kelurahan (KPEK). Sahdi, S.Sos, Head of Section for Economy of West Bogor Sub-district Bogor City, stated, “Welcome to West Bogor Sub-district especially Kelurahan Pasir Kuda. Hopefully the result of observation from this kelurahan can be useful for the development in each area both its creation and its innovation. In this occasion, Sahdi S.Sos also explains a lot of conditions in the area of West Bogor Sub-district."

 

The Group Leader of this OST stated, “I am on behalf of the group pleased to stay in touch in Kelurahan Pasir Kuda. I with the group also say thank you because it has been welcomed in an extraordinary  way, we are very moved and get a positive impression after a visit to Posdaya Puspa Lestari. The arrival is a follow-up of our visit to Yayasan Damandiri. We have been given the training about posdaya and in the second day we are taken to the posdaya place that has succeeded. Alhamdulillah, what we encountered is very suprising and remarkable that inspires us to apply in each area.”
