Agrianita IPB Prepared Cadres of SEMAI

“Ini tubuhku, kan ku jaga selalu

Thus the stanza pitched song lyrics “Pelangi” was sung by 35 training participants of Selamatkan Anak Emas Indonesia (SEMAI) held by Agrianita, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Monday and Tuesday (19-20/5) in Guest House of Campus of IPB Dramaga, Bogor. Yes, the participants who were the managers of TK, PAUD, SMA teachers, faculty representatives, Postgraduate, Diploma, Public Relations of IPB, Campus Security Unit (UKK), and Police from Polsek Dramaga at the time were expected to be the cadres of SEMAI.

 

As it was said by Chairman of Agrianita IPB Hj. Enny H. Suhardiyanto in her speech mentioned that the activity prepared within one week was meant to prepare the cadres who were able to save the young generation from the threat of sexual crimes. This activity was organized on the cooperation with Yayasan Kita dan Buah Hati led by Hj. Elly Risman.

 

Meanwhile, Dewi Yulia, M.Psi from Yayasan  Kita dan Buah Hati parsed that most perpetrators of sexual violence were people who were known, could be neighbors, friends, friends of friends, even distant family members or close. Perpetrators could be men and women also. Why did this happen? It was said by Dewi, because the parents did not equip their children to keep themselves from the threat of sexual crimes while the perpetrators came from watching pornography.  

 

To the cadres of SEMAI, Dewi invited to make a target of the day to knock at least three homes to share experiences in terms of keeping children from sexual violence. (nm)
