Teaching Staff of Lambung Mangkurat University Visited to IPB

Madame of the Minister of Research and Tecnology of RI, Violet Gusti Muhammad Hatta, teaching staff and also students of Lambung Mangkurat University, South Kalimantan visited the Center for Featured Research and Technology of RI, Biopharmaca, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). The group was accepted directly by Acting Head of the Center for Biopharmaca Study of IPB, Dr. Ir. Edi Jauhari in the Meeting Room of the Campus of IPB Taman Kencana, Bogor, Thursday (27/3).

Expert Staff of the Minister of Research and Technology as the group leader explained the purpose of this visit was to learn how to produce various innovations and technology, so the Center for Biopharmaca Study could be crowned as the Leading Center for Research and Technology.

Head of the Study Program of Tropical Forest Products of Lambung Mangkurat University, Siti Hamidah added that their visit to the Center for Biopharmaca Study of IPB was to learn and want to dig the newest information in the development of IPTEK related to herbal medicines. Biopharmaca of IPB was seen to provide insight and knowledge for the students of Lambung Mangkurat University especially for the Faculty of Foresty. “The Center for Biopharmaca Study of IPB has produced the innovations in form of medicinal products. This is very relevant with the need of the Faculty of Forestry Lambung Mangkurat University,” she said.

She hoped that there would be a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) of IPB with Lambung Mangkurat University. Also presented to welcome the guests, Prof. Hanny Wijaya who was the innovator of eucalyptus sweets. In the occassion, the group was treated the ginger beverage of innovation result of the Center for Biopharmaca Study of IPB.
