RI Ambassador for Peru Came to IPB

On Friday (28/02), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) received the visit of RI Ambassador for Peru, Moenir Ari Soenanda. The presence of Moenir together with the former Ambassador of RI for Peru, Berty Fernandez, aimed to explore the potential of agricultural cooperation between Indonesia and Peru and more specifically the cooperation between IPB and Univercidad Nacional de Pirua, Peru. 

 

The delegation met with Rector of IPB, Prof.Dr.Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, MSc and continued with the visit to Department of Aquaculture (BDP), Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK) IPB. In the early stage, the cooperation would be focused in the aquaculture. Department of BDP-FPIK IPB would become the contact point for the cooperation between IPB and Univercidad Nacional de Pirua. The RI Ambassador for Peru would mediate and facilitate the visit of the team of Univercidad Nacional de Pirua to identify the technical cooperation with IPB. The forms of cooperation offered were including scientist/staff exchange, students mobility, and collaborative research. The theme of potential cooperation to offer was the shrimp farming as one leading commodity of Indonesia. (*/ICO)
