RAMP IPB Organized the Training Course on Technopreneurship for Faculty Members of Universities in Indonesias

Recognition and Mentoring Program of Institut Pertanian Bogor (RAMP-IPB) organized Traning Course on "Technopreneurship” for its faculty members  at Amaris Hotel, Bogor, on 11 – 13 March 2014. The training course was targeted for faculty members  who planned to establish an effective start-up company on campus, by integrating the lean start-up approach and customer development in the college curriculum. This approach is relatively inexpensive and fast that will be applicable in campuses and students who will run it. Those are the  scientific approach as well as experiential that are applicable and will be  integrated into the university curriculum.

In his opening remarks the Director of RAMP – IPB , Dr. Ir. Aji Hermawan, MM, said that by attending the training course, the participants who are faculty members of various  universities in Indonesia, were expected to adopt and adapt the effective methods in developing new technopreneurship into their respective university curriculum. The Traning Course on "Technopreneurship” was participated by 36 faculty members from 27 universities in Indonesia, namely Bogor Agricultural University; Institut Pertanian STIPER Yogyakarta; State Polytechnic Jakarta; Pratama Mulia Polytechnics, Surakarta; Andalas University, Padang; Bina Nusantara University, Jakarta; University of Borneo, Tarakan; Universitas Brawijaya, Malang; Dian Nuswantoro University, Semarang; Halu Oleo University, Kendari; Hasanuddin University, Makassar; University of Jember; General Achmad Yani University. Bandung; University Jenderal Sudirman, Purwkerto; Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung;  University Lambung Mangkurat, Banjarmasin; Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto; Surabaya State University; Padjadjaran University, Bandung; University of Palangkaraya; Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Bandung; University of Sam Ratulangi, Manado; Slamet Riyadi University, Surakarta; North Sumatra University, Medan;  Trunojoyo University, Bangkalan; Udayana University, Denpasar; and UPN Veteran of East Java, Surabaya.

The Training Course materials covering methods to generate and evaluate ideas, Technopreneurship learning models, preparation and teaching methodologies of business model utilizing canvas, lean start-up approach and customer development, product development through human-centered design, and examples of successful learning materials   carried out by the University.
