The activity which was facilitated by Elisa Anggraeni, STP, MSc from this RAMP-IPB tried to identify the outstanding potential of IPB. The identification of the potential comprised of students, lectures, research results and variety of activities that had been done in the community empowerment. Not a few programs that were the pilots at the national level. However, these activities and resources were perceived to be still fragmented and scattered. Some constrained the implementation constraint for giving sustainable solutions. The constraints identified included the integration of program, the availability of the program’s road map, the data integration activity, the promotion and the publication as well as the monitoring and the evaluation. In its implementation, the activity also experienced problems related to the sustainability of program which was based on the social aspects. The aspects were including: participation, change of mindset, culture and behavior of stakeholders (researcher, student, society,
leader), economic aspect related to the creation of market and capitalization.

At the end of the workshop it was agreed that the resource and expertise needed to encourage in a model of synergistic to give the sustainable solution perceived all parties. A model with the clear road map and collaboratively designed and implemented utilized the existing resources. This model was expected to make the campus as the vehicle for the academicians to hone their social empathy and to do their tridharma activities by promoting the unity among campus community, surrounding and other stakeholders. The idea pursed to be one in form of development initiatives of the Campus of IPB as “living laboratory” for a sustainable food supply.

The initial idea would continue to be developed in the next regular discussions and followed to become the more concrete program. According to Dr. Aji Hermawan, “RAMP-IPB will continue to facilitate this acitivity so that altogether it can grow the campus to be the collective container to create the solutions for the community problems.
