Dept. of ITK IPB Held the Marine Science Training

Department of  Marine Science and Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) held the event of Marine Science and Technology Training Course 2014. The event which raised the theme of Marine Ecosystems: Biodiversity, Connectivity and Sustainable Use of Special Resources was held in Campus of IPB Dramaga, Tuesday (11/3)

The event coordinator, Dr. Tri Prartono, conveyed that this training was organized with the support of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). It was conveyed that DAAD was the joint organization from the institutes of higher education and student associations of German. The purpose was for enhancing the academic cooperation around the world primarily through the exchange of students, academics and scientists.

This training was followed by 14 participants from around five universities namely: Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Sam Ratulangi, Universitas Haluleo, Universitas Diponegoro and Universitas Trunoyojo. The participants were the applicants who qualified the selection of 30 candidate participants.

This training covered fisheries and marine science. Moreover, the training material also covered the discussion and the fieldtrip to Kepulauan Seribu. The event was officially opened by Director of Cooperation and International Programs of IPB, Prof. Eddy Hartulistioso. (dh)
