Umaswati, First Champion of Processing the Candied Crystal Guava Competition

Achievement

Umaswati, one of the candied artisan in Darmaga Village, succeeded to become the First Champion of the Competition of Processing the Candied Crystal Guava to Become Candy. Umaswati received the establishment money of Rp 1 million and the certificate of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB).

The prize was directly given to the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK) IPB, Dr. Sugeng Heri Suseno, SPi, M.Si., at the activity of Friday Tour of IPB, Friday (4/10), in Darmaga Village. 

 

In his welcome speech, Dr. Sugeng said that, IPB was very open toward various inputs, especially from the farmers in the Village of Campus Circle of IPB. “We are happier with the arrival of people or farmers compared to the arrival of the people with the necktie,” said Dr. Sugeng imitating the Head of the Institute of Research and Community Service (LPPM) of IPB, Dr. Ir. Prastowo.

Like the activity of Friday Tour previously, on the Friday Tour in Darmage Village IPB also gave the sympathetic care to 20 orphans of RW 4. Besides that, IPB also gave the contribution in form of the equipment of Integrated Service Post (Posyandu), the cleanliness tool in form of one rubbish cart, and the equipment for Early Age Child Education (PAUD). 

 

Be present also, in the opportunity, the Darmaga Subdistrict Head, Drs. Baehaki, Head of the Darmaga Village, Yayat Supriyatna, Representative of LPPM IPB for Community Service, Prof.Dr. Ir. Hartoyo, Secretary of LPPM IPB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sulistiono and community figure and religion. (man)
