South East Central Regency, NTT Visits Posdaya “Sinar Galih”, Patronage of P2SDM (Center for Human Resource Development) of IPB

Government officials along with community leaders of South East Central Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province visited Posdaya (Family Empowerment Post) “Sinar Galih” under the auspice of Human Resource Development Centre, Institute for Research and Community Service, Bogor Agricultural University (P2SDM – LPPB, IPB), Friday (27/9) in the Loji village lodge, Bogor .

 

The group was so impressed at seeing the variety of products of from Posdaya Sinar Galih displayed in the bazaar in front of Loji Village’s Office. In a short time, products such as star fruit syrup, nutmeg syrup, recycled purses, sweet potato chips and others were bought as some treats as well as samples for the South East Central Regency.

 

Not only that, Ir. Didah of Food Security Office, South East Central District, was so excited to set up a Posdaya soon in her region, especially when she sees that within two years Posdaya Sinar Galih, for the economic sector, is able to raise and manage funds from the public amounting to Rp 71.437 million. “It’s extraordinary!" she concluded.

 

Further, she said, given the fact of Loji villagers, it does not seem difficult to establish a Posdaya in South East Central District, NTT.

 

The interest to immediately set up Posdaya was also expressed by Anton, a participant from the Kuatae Village, South East Central District. "Posdaya can be established in our village. It is potential for agriculture and cattle breeding," he said.

 

While the representative of Loji Government said that the formation of Posdaya Sinar Galih is a pure active role of the villagers. "We, the government, only provide information and support. The rest is pure public participation. I hope Posdaya Sinar Galih will be more advanced and provide many benefits to society," he said. (Mtd)
