Villagers of Kampong Babakan Sukamantri RW 07, Pasir Kuda Sub-District, West Bogor District, Bogor Town, again received the visit of guests for an Observation Study Tour (OST), Wednesday (2/10). Now, this OST, initiated by Damandiri Foundation and the Center for Human Resource Development, Research and Community Service Institution, Bogor Agricultural (P2SDM-LPPM-I PB), carried out by a working unit of the Local Government Unit and Family Welfare Empowerment driving team (PKK) of Grobogan Regency, Central Java.
 
"We are very pleased and honored with the arrival of OST Group in our region. Observations are meant to look more closely at the process of empowerment in the community, particularly of RW 7, through the Posdaya (Family Empowerment Post) “Puspa Lestari”. Hopefully they gain useful information," said Village Chief of Pasir Kuda, Yayat Supriyatna, SE., in the meeting held in the Early Childhood Education “Bina Lestari”. He was accompanied by the District Secretary of West Bogor, Adi Novan, and Chairman of RW 07, Santoso.
 
A similar view was delivered the OST group leader, Drs. Mohamad Nursahid, who admitted to feel a great honor for the welcome given by the RW07 residents. "This is a lesson for us, when guests come to the village, they should be welcome in the best possible way, not only by the residents but also by the region leaders. Like today, they are directly welcome by District Secretary, Village Chief and RW Chairman," said the Assistant Regent.
 
Drs Mohamad Nur Sahid also said, he had a good impression when really looking at the Posdaya cadres who work together to empower the community. "Great! Developing the people’s potential as much as possible," he added.
 
In the direct meeting, the cadres of Posdaya Puspa Lestari took turns describing the activities so far running after the Posdaya establishment in 2009. For example, Charity from Shopping Remains, Integrated Health Services, Cooperatives, Environmental Hygiene, Elderly Development, Community-Based Disabled Rehabilitation Center.
 
The OST delegation of Grobogan District involving 103 people was divided in three groups. The other two other groups were doing observation in Balumbang Jaya Village and Bubulak Village of West Bogor District. (Mtd)
