IPB Rector Launches ASEAN Journal of Economics, Management and Accounting

Rector of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Prof. Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto launched ASEAN Journal of Economics, Management and Accounting, Wednesday (9/10), at IPB International Convention Center. ASEAN Journal of Economics Management and Accounting is the resulted contribution of the scientists from the countries involved in the activities of the Malaysia- Indonesia International Conference on Economics, Management and Accounting (MIICEMA). The launch of the ASEAN Journal, said Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, IPB, Dr. Ir. Yusman Syaukat is part of a series of 14th Annual Conference on Economics, Management and Accounting (MIICEMA) as well as part of the 50th IPB’s Anniversary.
 
"I hope this journal can provide new knowledge, ideas and issues of economics, management and accounting. I hope in the long run it can be indexed by Scopus,” Dr.Yusman said.
 
After the launch of ASEAN Journal of Economics, Management and Accounting, the journal was submitted to the Deputy Minister for Trade, Dr. Bayu Krisnamurti and distributed to State Universities (PTN) incorporated in the Dean Forum of State Universities Cooperation Agency in Western Indonesian Region (BKSPTN).
 
MIICEMA Congress this year, according to Dr.Yusman, raises the theme "ASEAN Economic Community 2015: Issues and Challenges", which is at this time going global in the economic field.
 
"Along with this theme, we also need to discuss the free trade among ASEAN countries," he said. 
The 14th MIICEMA Conference is attended by state universities incorporated in the West BKSPTN: Bengkulu University (UNIB ), Syiah Kuala University (UNSYIAH), UMS, Padjadjaran University (UNPAD), University of Riau (UNRI), North Sumatra University (USU), Malikussaleh University (UNIMAL), Lambung Mangkurat University (UNLAM), Mulawarman University (UNMUL), Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (UNTIRTA), UNPAR, State University of Jakarta (UNJ), Jambi University (UNJA), Andalas University (UNAND), State University of Padang (UNP), Gadjah Mada University (UGM), UPI-YAI, State University of Medan (UNIMED), Tanjung Pura University (UNTAN), State University of Lampung (UNILA), STIE -YAI, State University of Sebelas Maret (UNS), University of Sudirman (UNSOED), and Sriwijaya University (UNSRI).
