Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) has officiallyInauguratedthe Agribussiness Development Center (ADC), in PasirSarongge, Cipanas, Cianjur, West Java, on 18 September 2013. ADC is a farmers partnership model, a collaborative project between IPB with BRI Bank.ADC is expected to assist farmers by technology transfer, as well as providing market information, as stated by the Head of the University Farm of IPB, Dr.Anas D Susila. "The establishment of this project is based on the success story of the University cooperation project with Taiwan Technical Mission,  inCikarawangDarmaga, Bogor. Further he expressed that farmers are capable to increase their margin whenever their farms are well-managed," he said. ADC will transfer the technologydeveloped  by IPB. 
 
"There are approximately 40 business partnersof IPB who are ready to cooperate with. Whereas for  packaging facilities, nursery, green house, and the Delivery van, those equipment will be provided by the BRI bank,’ as reported by Vice Rector for Research and Cooperation Affairs, Prof. Dr.Anas M Fauzi. Further, he stated that there are approximately 14 farmland sites, covering areas of approximately 800 ha have been prepared. One of which is the 7.3 ha farm land of PasirSarongge village. 
 
IPB Rector, Prof. Dr.Suhardiyantoacknowledged the Executive Boards of BRI Bank for the Aids granted for the development of the ADC. "This is a precious and important Aids for IPB as the inauguration is coinciding  with 50th Anniversary of IPB. Hopefully the Center would assist farmers to increase their income, and indirectly will assist the government in its effort to reduce food importations.One of the items planned for this special event was the disbursement ofKredit Usaha Rakyat (rural assistance loans- KUR) BRI Bankto 3 farmers, namely Bandi, Adang and Sumiati. In addition to farmers BRI funded candidates, some entrepreneurs,the Executive Boards of both BRI Bank, and IPBattended the special event. (Wied).
