Food and Energy of IPB Club Talked about Food Security and Energy-Based Sustainable Agriculture

There were various ways of the faculties in Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) in brightening IPB Agrifuture Expo on Friday (6/9) which was part of the 50 Anniversary of IPB. One of them was the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, (FATETA) IPB which held the Workshop titled of “Ketahanan Pangan dan Energi Berbasis Pertanian Berkelanjutan / Food Security and Energy-Based Sustainable Agriculture” in a form of event with Jakarta Lawyer Club style with its version of one of the national television to synergize the stakeholders. “Therefore right presumably we name this event Food and Energy of IPB Club,” said the Responsible Person of Activity, Prof.Slamet Budijanto, followed by laughter patter of participants consisting of researcher, academician, practitioner, entrepreneur and general public. In his introduction, Prof.Slamet said that it happened to pull energy food and human food. This was influenced toward the food security and the energy.

 
The Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Bogor Agricultural University (FATETA-IPB), Prof.Dr.Ir.Sugiyono, in his welcome speech, said that this activity was in  order to find a solution to the problem of food security and energy which during this time most of the availability was limited and still filled with import. “We still feel the food problems we are experiencing, as well as energy. It needs to look for a solution,” said Prof. Sugiono. On this occasion, Prof.Sugiono conveyed an overview of existing departments in the Faculty of Agricultural Technnogy IPB such that Mechanical Engineering and Biosystem, Science and Food Technology, Agricultural Industrial Technology, and Civil Engineering and Environment. Appointed as the host was Prof.Purwiyatno Haryadi, Professor of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Technology IPB. (ris)
