Air Parachute Show Enlivens the 50th IPB’s Anniversary

Commemorating the golden anniversary , Bogor Agricultural University ( IPB ) held its Anniversary along with welcoming new students on the yard of  Gymnasium building , Darmaga Campus of IPB (1/9) . In this event , all students of the Golden Batch were present involving  the students of Diploma, undergratute and graduate programs . Symbolically,  Rector of IPB , Prof . Dr . Ir . Herry Suhardiyanto , M.Sc put on IPB’ jacket,  followed by simultaneous jacket wearing by all new students of IPB .

 

Rector said, " New students! , let’s enter  the campus gate , the best agricultural university in Southeast Asia , a higher education which has got international accreditations in some of its Study Programs . "Today, IPB is celebrating its 50th birthday . I hope IPB can increasingly contribute to the nation . Let’s keep all endowed by our predecessors . Hopefully IPB will continue to wage its achievements in the future . Congratulation and  Happy Birthday IPB in its 50th , Long Life our IPB " .

 

The event was enlivened with air attraction of parachute falling by16 paratroopers from the Federation of Aero Sport Indonesia ( FASI ) under the guidance of Airstrip ( airfield ) Atang Sendjaja , 12 personnel from the police and 4 jumpers from Fasida of West Kalimantan . Each parachutist was carrying flags including the national flag of the Red and White , the flag of  Ministry of Education and Culture , IPB’s flag , and the flags  of nine Faculties. Interestingly , one of the paratroopers was a woman, Mimi Febrianti of Fasida from West Kalimantan, representing other paratroopers to symbolically give bouquets to Rector of IPB . In addition , two strike aircrafts were flying in the sky above IPB Gymnasium with a congratulatory banner of cobgratulating  IPB m’s 50th Anniversary.

 

On this occasion, appreciations were also given to eight academically outstanding students of the First Year Common Preparation Education Program ( TPB ) in the academic year 2012/2013. They have the grade point average ( GPA) of 4.00, namely Mochammad Fatchur Rahman ( Fateta ) , Dwina Juliana Warman ( Fateta ) , Rarasari Clorinita Utomo ( Fateta ) , Kevin Adrianus ( Fateta ) , Raudhah ( Fateta ) , Oktarina Safar Nida ( MIPA ) , Tiya Nur Hidayati ( FEM ) , and I Made Pradityarjuna MM ( FEM ) . In addition , an appreciation was also given to Nadine Adrianna Lewis, who has been selected by the Directorate General of Higher Education as the national outstanding student of the 1st rank ( Mtd )
