During the meeting, the Organizing Committee coincidely declared the establishment of the Biomaterials Society of Indonesia (MBI). The establishment  wasdeclared  by researchers of IPB, Prof. Ki AgusDahlan, where it was stated that the Biomaterials Society of Indonesia (MBI) is a  not-for-profit professional organization and is independent, and is not affiliated with any political parties. The association was established for the advancement  of  biomaterials science and technology, for the betterment of Indonesia.
