Internal Quality Assurance for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs of IPB

Office of Quality Management, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) organized the Training on Deepening of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Education Programs of IPB, Monday (29/7) at IPB International Convention Center.  “In addition to the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs, we are also putting together SPMI of Diploma Program. The year of 2014 is expected that SPMI of Diploma Program is completed,” said the Head of Quality Management of IPB, Dr. Fredinan Yulianda.

 

According to Dr. Fredinan, there were four things that greatly affected the success of SPMI education i.e. good cooperation among the leaders, faculty, staff,  and students, as well as good organizational structure, facility, means, infrastructure and adequate funding. “Funds are important but the most important are commitments of leaders, faculty, staff, and students. Without this, this system will not run properly,” said Dr. Fredinan.

 

Rector of IPB, Prof.Herry Suhardiyanto, in his speech said this training activity was important to maintain and improve the existing SPMI. “We should be proud IPB manages to achieve the institutional accredication A. But we should not stop and be complacency toward the achievement, because in SPMI there is a continuous cycle and it is not stop at one point,” said the Rector.

 

Head of Academic Audit of the Internal Audit Office of IPB, Dr. Ahmad Dorobin Lubis, said in the enhancement of the quality system pursued not merely scored or the value of the National Accreditation Board – University (BAN-PT), the improvement of service quality of the internal quality in the University was perceived by all stakeholders.  (ris)
