Halal Bil Halal of IPB: Acquire Achievement in Harmony
IPB held Halal bil Halal of 1434 H (Mutual Forgiving) in Graha Widya Wisuda, Darmaga Campus of IPB Bogor, (14/8). This time the event raised the theme "Acquire Achievement in Harmony". IPB Rector in his speech said, "Happy Eid of 1434 and congratulation on the success of Spiritual Ascent during the month of Ramadan when the religious activities ranging from fasting, charity, donation, sodaqoh to taraweeh are intensely performed. IPB would like to thank and appreciates its non-muslim academic communities as highly as possible for their tolerance to the Muslims practicing their religious activities. Let’s build a spirit of togetherness and harmony among us as social capital to go ahead. We beg your pardon spiritually and physically. Eid Fitri has the meaning of returning to chastity, the victory of the Muslims during the month of Ramadan, because they managed to control negative passions and become God-fearing.
He also extended highest appreciation to those who have provided for orphans and the poor aids with the total value amounting to Rp 258 million, from IPB lecturers and educationsl staff during the month of Ramadan. The donation value is greater than planned, thus allowing 1,000 children orphans from 17 villages around the campus receive financial aid. Donation in the form of Infak is greater. Hopefully next year it could provide a larger donation again.The Eid al-Fitr also coincided with the time of IPB Dies Natalis or Anniversary. It is the time to call IPB academic community members invites residents to recall the history of IPB and reflect for its future.
In this anniversary of this time, there is a large agenda agenda such as new student admissions IPB of golden generation, graduation, innovation show and grand meeting of university alumni. Rector wishes us all to be grateful for all the gifts that have been given. Show love of IPB to achieve better performance with prayers and sincere work in shaping the institutional and personal performance.
Halal Bil Halal of IPB this time invites Ustadz (Islamic preacher) H. Arifin Ilham. In his tausiyah (advice) Ustadz H. Arifin Ilham took the theme "Back to the Holy Origin Towards True Victory". He remind us that we have all been predetrrmined to death by God. Each of us has a death book, but it is kept secret by God. He said that we would live in the hereafter not only for a century later, but for ever, while the time available to prepare to go there is too short. Thus the people of faith do not want to play games in order to achieve happiness in the hereafter. Theyl are not going to have fun even in the permissible. They will take the best use of time to make preparation for the afterlife. Ustadz Arifin Ilham pointed out, "When we go to our hometown we need some supplies, what’s more to go to the afterlife?"
Further, he emphasized what things must be fine as those done during the Ramadhan month. The arrival of the month of Ramadan can ‘burn’ our sins to God, do not ever feel the most sacred nor feel the most God-fearing. For the most evil man there is till guidance of Allah. Ramadan also burn sins among us, to children, to parents, siblings, wives in everyday life together. The month of Ramadan also burnd flesh and blood to make it clean again. This is evident by fasting that the body shrinks. Romadhan can also burn our bad tempers. (Mtd)
