Comparative Study of Gorontalo to Posdaya Around IPB Campus

PKK Team and groups  of SKPD (SatuanKerjaPerangkat Daerah – Regency Work force Unit) of North Gorontalo regency government, Gorontalo Province, visitedPosdayaPuspa Lestari,PasirKuda village, Bogor. PosdayaPuspa Lestari is one of the Posdayaunder the guidance of IPB, in Bogor,bywhichits Posyandu(Integrated Health Center – IHC) has been evaluated as the runner up of the best IHC in West Java province. PosdayaPuspaLestariwas established by students of IPB when they had their Field Works at their final grade. Itineraries program for them, were visitedPAUD (early childhood school), IHC and Cooperatives in RW 07,PasirKuda village, Bogor, on 6 July 2013.

 

BPMKB head of Gorontalo, Ms.Magdalena Lungkangexpressed her impressions on the PosdayaPuspa Lestari. "In general, the empowerment program of Gorontalois similar with the Posdayaprograms, there is some IHC, Early Childhood Education (PUAD), and cooperatives. The difference is, that the PosdayaPuspa Lestari has Occupational Health Enterprises (UKK), whereas the Gorontalo regency does not have it. Surprisingly, the Occupational Health Unit was established to remind the communities, who mostly employees of small industries, as they usually do not care about their health status. This is the role of UKK, "she explained.

 

Further Magdalena stated that  she was so happy to have warm welcome and full of togetherness. In addition to visit Posyandu and PAUD (early childhood school). The group were also guided to visit the home industry that producestempeh and catfish farming. In addition to visit PosdayaPuspaPuspa Lestari, the group also visited PosdayaPancaGalih,Lojivillage, Western Bogor District. (Wied).
