IPB Students of Batch 50 Watch together the Movie “9 Summers 10 Autumns”

IPB Agricultural University Directorate of Students Affairs organized joint watching of the movie "9 Summers 10 Autumns" to welcome 50 freshmen admitted through SNMPTN (National Selection Entrance Test For State Universities). This was held at Graduation Building Graha Widya Wisuda (18/6). The goal to hold this event is to inspire, motivate and boost morale of IPB’s new students IPB as well as foster a sense of belonging and a sense of love for their new campus, IPB.

 

Head of Sub Directorate of Student Welfare, Directorate Student Affairs, Megawati Simanjuntak, SP, M.Si said: "This activity is to encourage the new students of batch 50 to realize early that they have made the right choice to enter the University. It is expected that they can understand the spirit of Iwan Setiawan, an IPB’s graduate, and his life struggle portrayed in the novel and the movie "9 Summers 10 Autumns". They have great enthusiasm, I think about 2000 students are present here. We hope in the future they have a sense of belonging and love IPB".

 

 "Welcome to the people’s campus, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). This is your first night enjoying the atmosphere in IPB’s campus of Dramaga. This is the first time for us to hold an event at night to welcome all of you as a new student. This morning you completed the registration, of which the most important goal is to demonstrate your commitment that you remain wanting to be a student of IPB, so I would appreciate you all who have registered today and it means you have high commitment and dedication to study at IPB ", said Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Yonny Koesmaryono, MS.

This move “9 Summers 10 Autumns” can enlighten all of you about what struggle of new students and children of the nation are like – how they have strived to educate themselves and finally succeeded. Hopefully this film can give you enlightenment and similar spirit or motivation to that possessed by your senior, Ir. Iwan Setiawan," added Prof. Yonny. (Mtd)
