Around 200 International Researchers Presented Their Researches in Bogor

Around 200 researchers from various countries got together and presented their results of study in the fisheries and marine in the event of the International Conference on Marine Sciences  2013 ‘Marine Biodiversity and Connectivity for Sustainable Fisheries’ on 4-6 June at IICC. 
 
The activity which was the series of activities of the 50th Anniversary of IPB was held by the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK) in collaboration with the German goverment. “This activity is attended by the researchers from the countries, like Belgium, Germany, Phillipines, Thailand, India, Yemen, Poland and Indonesia,” said the Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Hawis Maddupa. This activity aimed to give opportunities to most researchers of Southeast Asia to share experiences and information on the latest research acitivies of fisheries and marine.
 
Director of DAAD Regional Office Jakarta, Dr.Irene Jansen, conveyed her appreciation to the committee and alumni of DAAD who had worked hard to succeed this activity. “We hope from this activity the researchers can make the mutual research cooperation, increase the knowledge in teaching, and exchange the research experiences,” said Dr.Irene.  This activity was divided into several plenary sessions, presentation and poster sessions, and product exhibition and research result.
