48th OST Posdayaat Balumbang Jaya Village
"Welcome to Bogor!" screamed a participant of Obsevation Study Tour (OST) Posdaya from Indramayu District Local Government, while holding a glass of typical nutmeg syrup of Bogor. His screams attracted dozens of other participants to taste ‘welcome drink’ shortly after arriving at PosdayaPermata,Kampungcilubang RW 04, BalumbangJaya Village,West Bogor district, of Bogor, on Friday, 31 May 2013.
A Group consisted of total 75 people were participants of 48thOST which was jointly organized by IPBwith DamandiriFoundation. While for Balumbang JayaVillage, it was the first for them to have the OST program.
In this comparative study, the village tour was planned for the group to observe the PosdayaPermataactivities, that included Posyandu(IHC), Posbindu, Al-Quran Reading Center(TPA), and the library. The village tour was guided by Posdaya Chairman Mohammed Yusuf. Other itinerary program for the group was question-answer session with local residents held at NurulFalah Mosque. The Leaderof Balumbang Jaya village, Mr.E.Tafsir, SE.,and the Head of Human Resource Development Center (P2SDM) SBRC IPB, Dr PudjiMuljono, attended this special event. (Wied).
