The Partnerships of P2SDM IPB for the Development of 122 Posdaya in West Java
Human Resource Development Centre, Institute for Research and Community Service, Bogor Agricultural University (P2SDM-SBRC-IPB) up to April 2013 has successfully assisted the establishment of 122 (one hundred twenty two) Family Empowerment Post (Posdaya) in different areas of West Java. This was stated by the Head P2SDM-SBRC-IPB, Dr.PudjiMuljono,in his opening remarks of the Motivation and Insight Training for Cadres of Green Posdaya, atPosdayaKlapanunggalDistrict, Bogor Regency, Sunday, 12 May 2013. "Up to April 2013 IPB successfully assisted the establishment 122 (one hundred twenty two) Family Empowerment Post (Posdaya) in different areas of West Java, covering Bogor, Cianjur, Sukabumi, PelabuhanRatu and so on," said Dr.Puji.
The Deputy Head of LPPM IPB, Dr.Prastowo, said that community service programs will develop and to be self maintainedif they take the following five stairs namely awareness, commitment, institutional, management and infrastructure (technology). "Five steps must be taken or the community service programs such as Posdaya will terminate in the cross roads, "he said.
Camat(District Head)of Klapanunggal, Bogor, Drs.AgusSuherman, M.Si, welcome the Green Posdayaactivities. Agus specifically acknowledged the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)Support of PT.HolcimIndonesian for the establishment of PosdayaKlapanunggal. Agus also expressed his appreciation to IPB which has assisted the program in District Klapanunggal. "Many entrepreneurial training programs have been jointly organized by PT.Holcim Indonesia and IPB,however we expect that such assistance should be continuously provided for the establishment of new entrepreneurs. Based on the previous experiences, some CSR Support stop in the middle of the program due to the facts that the communities do not have the entrepreneurial spirit, "he added.
