Visiting the UMKM (SMEs) Outlet Patronage by IPB at Sukasari
Business Incubator Center (Incubie) of IPB in cooperation with the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs has provided an outlet for SMEs to market their products. In addition to assist in improving the marketing of their products, it also has launched its website and the address is <e-market.ipb.ac.id>. The launching of the website was coinsidedwith the Technical Guidance program for Business Licensing for SMEs.
Head of Research and Community Service of IPB, Prof.BambangPramoedya, in his remarks on 16 April 2013, stated that the handed over the joint-marketing outlets, was expected to increase the turnover of the tenants. In addition, according to Prof.Bambang, later on the SMEs won’t only be able to be successful in the domestic market, but also in the international market as well.
While, the Head of Business Incubator Center of IPB, Prof. MemenSurahman, stated that the location of the outlets planned for tenants is quite strategic. "We set up MSMEs outlets patronage by IPB as the Bogor Gifts Center on Sukasari 1 12 A. Tenants may utilize such outlets to market their products, andthe management for the outlets will be carried out by the Cooperative Business Incubator IPB, "he said.
With regard to the marketing program, according to the Prof. Memen, most of SMEs patronage by Incubie IPB has successfully established extensive networks covering areas such Greater Jakarta area, Sukabumi, Cianjur, they even have successfully marketed their SME products to several provinces in Indonesia. Finally, they also have started to expand their market abroad.
However, for SMEs which are having marketing constrains, both the e-market and this outlet will be beneficial for them. In addition, the technical guidance provided by the District Licensing Agency Bogor, will enable the SME’s to get their business licenses immediately. So far the E-market has promoted all SME’ Patronage by IPB products such as sweet potato flour, shredded pepper, chocolate praline, processed rabbit meat, coconut ice packs, mushroom chips, mushroomsmeatballs, instantbandrekbajigur and so on.
