Some groups  of SKPD (SatuanKerjaPerangkat Daerah – Regency Work force Unit) from  Grobogan, TulungagungdanWonogiri  visited villages around IPB campus, on 3 April 2013. The groups were divided into 2 groups where each group visited the villages around the campus which have established Family Empowerment Post (Posdaya). The two villages are theSukadamaivillage(PosdayaHarapanMaju) and the PurwasariVillage (PosdayaFajarHarapan).
 
Posdaya in those two villages are under the  guidanceof Human Resource Development Centre (P2SDM) LPPM-IPB. "With the guidance of IPB, our Posdayahas successfully to unitethe communitie for cooperative business who formerly they workedindividually. The Posdayaactivities programs were formulized based on the community suggestions. Our Posdayawork programs are supported by  the 4 pillars, namely economy, education, health, the environment. "Those work programs are then has been developed," he said. "Every Friday we have jumsihday (The Clean Friday), by empoweringthe  youth to collect organic and inorganic wastes. The grading of those wastes could be their addiontal source ofincome, as they utilize the organic waste for compost production and the inorganic waste as source of the handicrafts for women  whilethey are waiting for their siblings undertake the PAUD (early childhood school), "said Ajen, Dawn Hope as coordinator Posdaya.
 
Meanwhile, PosdayaHarapanMaju of Sukadamai village has successfully established a  savings and loans cooperatives with an initial capital of Rp 200 million. The successful empowerment of  the community to be economically independent has impressed the groups. "On behalf of the groups, I expressed my impression on the development of Posdaya which is unde the guidance of  IPB. For the information, in our Region (Wonogiri), usually only  cadreswho are active in such community development, whereas here all the community have participated. So I am so impressed, as here the entire community participated in the community development to develop their village, "said one participant.(Wied).
