Bidikmisi Fellowships of IPB and Campus Bicycles

The Activity on "Bidikmisi: Baktiku For IPB" was the evidence that there are still a lot of students who are aware of  the environment. One of the activities of the Bidikmisi grantees is the “Love the Environment” program which is directed by  Bidikmisi Grantees Association. Sunday, 14 October 2012, the “Love the Environment” program which initiated by the Directorate of Student Affairs and the Bidikmisi Grantees Association was implemented. To begin with, the participants took the aerobics in the Park of the  Andi Hakim Nasoetion building, and continued with the cleaning work  of  Darmaga Campus  from roads, buildings, dormitories, toilets, and others. This cleaning program was witnessed by the Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Yonny Koesmaryono, MS, the  Head of BNI Bogor Branch, Sugiarto and his staff,  Director of Student Affairs, Dr. Rimbawan, Sub-Head of  Student Welfare, Ms. Megawati Simanjuntak, SP, M.Si, and representatives of Student of IPB, and  2500 Bidikmisi grantees.

The campus cleaning program is divided into 13 clusters, consisted of more than 80 targets of the cleaning program. With the cleaning kits within two hours, the groups have began to do their  work to change  the  Darmaga Campus into the cleaned  campus.

In his opening remarks, Rector of IPB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc, appreciated greatly this activity and it is expected to be scheduled annually or bimonthly. Rector appreciated this program and even trusted the Bidikmisi Society to manage the campus bikes. To conclude the program,  the BNI Bank socialized the  Taplus Muda for the participants.  (Wied)
