Again Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) held Jumling (a Friday Tour) in Purwasari Village, Dramaga District, Bogor Regency (15/6). IPB team led by Dr. Syaiful Anwar, M.Sc, Head of the Department of Soil Science and Land Resources, Faculty of Agriculture, IPB and dozens of residents crowded the venue for this activity. It reflected the high enthusiasm of the villagers on the Friday Tour activity.

Chief of Dramaga District, Drs. Arom Rusnandar said, "The Friday Tour of IPB is in line with the vision of Bogor Regency, that is, to create God-fearing, capable and civilized community toward prosperity." Arom hopes that all IPB’s assistance can be put into the best use."  Vice Head of Community Services Division, Institute for Research and Community Services (LPPM) IPB, Dr. Ir. Prastowo, M. Eng said in his speech explaining the purpose of Friday Tour in Purwasari Village. "It is intended to build the relationship and communication between IPB community members and the people of Purwasari IPB. Of course this relationship is important because there are a lot of things we can start to do from the relationship ".

Representing the Chairman of Farmers Group Mina Bakti Sari, Nur said, "Initially it was a trial that we obtained thirty quails and ten eggs to hatch. I tried to hatch them and it turned out that 70 percent hatched and 30 percent were unfertilized. This was an indication that hatching eggs can be improved." Starting from this experience, all of the quail eggs could hatch 100 percent. “I wish the sub-village of Situ Uncal particularly RT. 2 RW.1 can be a village of quails in the future," said Nur. (Mtd)
