JAPAS Colors the Series of Activities in the Celebration of DNA 2012

For the purpose of commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the Dormitory (DNA) of the Common Preparation Program (TPB), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), the Dormitory Management Agency (BPA) of TPB and its students held a series of activities. One was JAPAS (Healthy Morning Walk), which raised the theme "Concrete Actions of Dormitory in Building the Nation’s Character," on Sunday (27/5). The morning walk took the route from the Female Dormitory of Graha Widya Wisuda (GWW), Rectorate Building, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Al Hurriyyah Mosque, and returned to the Female Dormitory.

The enthusiasm of students to participate in this activity appeared as Master of Ceremonies (MC) invited them to speak out the jargon of the event, and together they yelled: "It’s my character, what is your character". The Japas activity was officially opened by the Director of TPB- IPB, Dr. Ir. Ibnul Qayyim.

Met after Japas, Head of Dormitory Management Agency of TPB IPB, Dr. Ir. Irmansyah, M, Si said, "We hope that the dorm can be instrumental in shaping the nation’s character, in particular IPB students. We hope the students can achieve, acquire a proper character, and develop their mental and physical capacity, and their talents and interests can also develop well during their stay in the dorm."

This morning walk was lively accompanied by a variety of games, door prizes for the participants, entertainment of dancing and acoustic music by Dormitory Art Club (ADC). The series of DNA activities will later be closed in a Farewell Party as the peak activity for the 10th Anniversary of Dormitory TPB, in which the highest appreciation will be awarded to the outstanding dormitory residence, serving simultaneously as farewell tor the previous dormitory residence.
