Celebration of 11th Anniversary of FEM IPB
In the 11th Anniversary of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) – Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) organized the program with the theme of “Akselerasi, Kepemimpinan, Manajemen dan Ekonomi dalam Meningkatkan Daya Saing Bangsa” on Wednesday (2/5) in the Auditorium of Andi Hakim Nasution, Campus of IPB Dramaga, Bogor.
The Program of 11th Anniversary of FEM IPB was officially opened by the Rector of IPB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc. In his welcome speech, Prof. Dr. Ir Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc expressed the congratulations to all residents of FEM on this 11th Anniversary. “I hope FEM will grow and develop to become the important faculty at IPB and give the achievement contribution which is proud of and become one development locomotive of IPB in the future” he said.
In this program, the talkshow was held about “Akselerasi Inovasi Kepemimpinan, Manajemen dan Ekonomi dalam Meningkatkan Daya Saing Bangsa”. This talkshow presented Prof. Dr. Didik J Rachbini (Chairman of Board of Trustees of IPB, 2007-2011) and Ir. Agung Koeswandono, MA (Director of General of Customs Office RI) as the resource persons. In this occasion, Prof. Dr. Didik J Rachbini explained about economic problems, competitive ability, and national infrastructure. Prof. Dr. Didik J Rachbini explained concretely about the problems of infrastructure and bureaucracy happening in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Ir. Agung Koeswandono, MA explained the condition at the Directorate General of Customs Office as the concrete example. In his leadership qualities, Ir. Agung Koeswandono, MA tried to apply the quote from AA Gym, i.e. “Starting from himself, starting from the small thing and starting from now”. “The thing of course should be accompanied with the courage which is deeper in choosing and making decision”, he said firmly. Ir. Agung Koeswandono, MA also explained about “Head to Customs 2020” which he used for raising his friends’ motivation at the Directorate General of Customs Office.
This program was continued with the explanation of FEM Dean, Dr. Ir Yusman Syaukat, M.Ec, about the Index of FEM Performance by using the approach of Balanced Score Card (BSC) which had been held the workshop at the level of IPB in February 2012. “With the result, we can do the repairings for doing the improvement in the future,” said Dr. Ir Yusman Syaukat, M.Ec. This program was closed with the presentation about the implementation of urgency and superiority of BSC for University by Riri Satria, S.Kom, MM (Drector of Consultation/Chief Consulting Officer, People Performance Consulting). BSC was the tool to translate the strategy to become the working program, to integrate all strategies in the company, the performance management, to communicate the strategy to the entire employees and to control the company’s strategy implementation. This BSC method was the method which developed in accord with the development. This thing could be seen from the presence of three generations of evolution of this BSC model . (rf)
