Eleven Students of Agriculture and Horticulture Receive Scholarships of Bank Mandiri
Ahmad Saefudin, a student of Department of Agronomy and Horticulture s (AGH), Faculty of Agriculture, Bogor Agricultural University, said he was emotionally moved and happy with his election together with ten other as the recipients of Bank Mandiri Scholarship.
"Hopefully this scholarship is limited to this year only as there are still many intelligent students who are financially constrained," said Ahmad, on receiving the Bank Mandiri scholarship in the Meeting Room of the Department of AGH, Dramaga Campus of IPB Bogor, Friday (2/3).
The scholarship worth 100 million was symbolically handed over by the Senior Vice President of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, Novianti Hardi to Dean of Faperta IPB (Faculty of Agriculture), Dr. Rustiadi Ernan, accompanied by Head of AGH Department, Dr. Agus Purwito, and Department Secretary of Human Resources, Cooperation and Business, Dr. Sugianta.
On this occasion, Dr. Ernan appreciates the commitment of Bank Mandiri in helping the world of education. Dr Ernan said what Bank Mandiri has done is like planting seeds of goodness, which will become an investment in the future, such as setting up an image of Bank Mandiri.
Meanwhile, Senior Vice President of Bank Mandiri Novianti Hardi says this activity is one form of concerns of Bank Mandiri as the State-Owned Enterprise, i.e. by implementing assistance programs to the community through the Partnership and Environment Development Program (PKBL).
"We really hope that ours assistance can provide added value in education, especially for IPB," said Novianti, who is also an alumni of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry IPB of 1989. (Mtd)
